Pomelo Ceramic Art invites you into a calm, inspiring ceramics studio in Pòrtol (Marratxí), Mallorca—created for people who want to slow down, make with their hands, and reconnect with creativity. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with an emphasis on the beauty of the process and the character of handmade work. Sessions are intentionally kept small to ensure a warm, personal experience and plenty of individual guidance.
In every format, you’ll be supported step by step (and at your own pace), whether it’s your very first time touching clay or you already have some experience and want to refine technique. The studio works with high-fire clay, chosen for its durability and the long-lasting quality of the final pieces. You’ll design, shape, and decorate your own ceramics, with access to the tools, equipment, and materials needed to bring your ideas to life.
Class formats
- Regular group classes: A weekly, self-directed format designed to nurture creativity and community in a small group setting (max. 6 people). Each session lasts 2.5 hours. Monthly fee is €125 + VAT for 4 classes (firing charged separately). Includes clay, pigments, high-fire glazes, tools, pottery wheels, and a slab roller.
- Private wheel-throwing experience: A 2-hour introductory potter’s wheel session with personalised guidance (max. 4 people). €120 per person, including materials, high-temperature firing, and snacks/drinks. You’ll typically select 1–2 pieces to be refined and glazed, ready around 4 weeks later (shipping can be arranged at extra cost).
- Private hand-building techniques: A 2-hour personalised session focused on hand-building and decoration, ideal for beginners or for deepening a specific technique (max. 6 people). €100 per person, including materials, high-temperature firing (up to 3 pieces), plus snacks/drinks. Pieces are generally ready about 4 weeks after the session (shipping possible at extra cost).
Practical details: The studio is open by appointment, typically Monday to Friday (daytime). Classes can be held in Spanish or English.
