Some weekends you simply attend. Others stay with you. For me, the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival 2026 was the second kind.
I’m Julia, and I spend most of my days connecting people with the conscious side of Mallorca. But from 27 to 30 August, I wasn’t organising, listing or planning anything. I was simply there – barefoot, on the mat, in the music – at Only Summer Finca in Llúbí, with the Tramuntana mountains on the horizon and hundreds of open-hearted people around me.
This year’s theme was Evolution. Rebirth. Belonging. I didn’t think much about it when I arrived. By Sunday, I understood every word.
Day one: arriving
There is a moment at every good festival when your shoulders drop. Mine came about an hour after I’d parked the car. Tents and bell tents were going up, kids were already running towards the kids area, and somewhere a handpan was playing. Nobody was in a hurry. Strangers smiled at me as if we’d met before.
That feeling of coming home is what Yoga del Mar does best. It’s big enough to feel like a real festival, and small enough that by the second day you recognise faces at breakfast.

Mornings on the mat
I’m a morning person on holiday only – but at Yoga del Mar, I was on my mat early every day. The programme had something for every body: Adam Rice’s PurePrana Vinyasa Flow with tribal beats, strong Power Yoga with Ebba, Jivamukti with Gabriela Bozic and the festival’s own Yoga del Mar Flow with Yasmin & Nina-Gyana, built around the theme of evolution.
The session everyone was talking about combined movement and live music: Natalija’s Hatha Flow, with Pavan from The Hanuman Project looping voice and sound around us. Practising to live music outdoors is something I wish everyone could experience at least once. You stop counting breaths and start feeling them.
And for the playful moments, there was Acro Yoga with Gabi and a handstand workshop with Chala. Watching complete beginners fly for the first time – and laugh about it – was one of my favourite sights of the whole weekend.
Breath, sound and letting go
If the mornings were about energy, the afternoons were about going inward. Breathwork came in three very different styles: Alchemy Breathwork with Marcos, a somatic journey with Coco Achinger, and Dani Bogari’s 5 Elements session, moving through water, earth, fire, air and ether.
When the heat settled over the finca, I found my place in the shade for Yin Yoga with Angela and Héctor Koa’s sound journey. Lying there with the sound washing over me, I realised how rarely I allow myself to do absolutely nothing. That alone was worth the ticket.

Circles that go deeper
Yoga del Mar has always been more than yoga, and the workshop space proved it again. There were men’s and women’s circles with David Lurey and Nadine, a contact dance workshop with Mariano & Alan, a cacao ceremony with Kakaochi and an experiential talk by Johannes Beckmann on evolution as a dance between chaos and order.
What moved me most was how honest people were with each other. In a circle of strangers, you’d hear stories you normally only share with close friends. That’s what belonging felt like to me: being seen without having to explain yourself.
When the sun goes down
And then the nights. The Hanuman Project filled the finca with kirtan, Kirtan Ibiza brought their sun-soaked mantras, and Franko Heke’s Future Mantra Dance had everyone moving to a mix of mantra, Māori song and electronic sound. Later, ecstatic dance sets by JPool, Dani Bogari and our own Mallorcan DJ Paco Colombàs kept the dance floor full and barefoot until late.
I danced until my feet hurt. No alcohol, no phones in the air – just people celebrating being alive under the stars. I didn’t know I needed that so much.

A festival for all generations
One thing I love about Yoga del Mar: it’s truly for everyone. Families camped next to solo travellers, teenagers joined the dance, and the kids had their own supervised programme, including family yoga with Mira. The art & food market was full of local makers – many of whom you’ll also find here on Conscious Mallorca.
What I took home
I drove home on Sunday evening with dusty feet, a full heart and a quiet mind. Evolution, for me, wasn’t a big transformation. It was small: breathing a little deeper, judging a little less, saying yes to dancing even when I’m tired.
Thank you to the whole Yoga del Mar team, to every teacher and musician, and to everyone who shared these four days. You reminded me why I love this island and its community so much.

Until next time. Photo: © Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival
Save the date: 21–23 May 2027
The journey continues. The next Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival takes place from 21 to 23 May 2027, again at Only Summer Finca in Llúbí – three days in spring, when the island is green and the sun is gentle. Tickets are already available on the festival website.
I’ll be there. Will you?
